I find it very fascinating to see this article in the Jerusalem Post today slamming a new obsession with another rabbi from days gone by. Reb Nachman of Ukraine, believed himself to be the one that would announce the Messiah and though he lived some 1200 years ago you would think what he believed should not matter much now. But a new resurgence of interest in his beliefs by thousands of Orthodox Jews flocking to Kiev has troubled the staged plan in Jerusalem of ushering in their alleged Messiah figure. So its no wonder they must crush this Ukrainian obsession and crush it quickly. Not to mention Reb Nachman rejected all the Noahide faiths and consider Jerusalem rejected by God and had embraced Orthodox Christianity.
Granted it makes little difference in which Jewish sect has its new obsession for the Father sent one true messiah to Israel 2000 years ago and his name was Jesus Christ. He was rejected of His own and as the prophets spoke of Him that he would be and that he would be cut off from among His people. But the father raised Him up the third day and it was His Death burial and Resurrection that has made away for us all both Jew and gentile alike to partake in His Eternal Life.

This is why the land was not divided according to Tribes nor according to those ancient families. It puts to death the idea of an eternal covenant without conditions of blessings curses and abrogation.
What records would prove that anyone belonged to any of the original 12 tribes of Israel? Time and reproduction followed by dispersion has made it nearly impossible to identify who among the living is a descendant of one of the original tribes. However, the descendants of those tribes can still exist and therefore may be able to come together again. But, it is not for mankind to orchestrate or confirm this gathering. It is God’s doing, God’s plan, God’s timing in God’s sovereignty. Let it be so..
